Love is in the air with Jelaxy Love Gummies!

I’ve been going with a Valentine’s theme so far this week if you hadn’t noticed, including the little heart in the Jammie Dodgers and the red and pink coloured Raspberry Dark Chocolate M&Ms. So it only made sense that today’s review would go along with it in the form of these Jelaxy Love heart-shaped gummies imported all the way from Istanbul, Turkey.

Even if these weren’t Valentine’s-themed I would have wanted to try them because of the packaging alone. The front of the bag features three animated and very happy hearts, two of which have big teethy grins. This is a big reason why I love a lot of European branding; it’s sometimes a bit kooky but candy is fun and the imaging should go a long with that!

Opening up the package, I’m instantly hit with a lovely aroma of strawberry and vanilla. The flavour of these candies matches the smell as I tasted the vanilla first and then it blended into the tangy but sweet strawberry flavour. They also have a sugary coating which I’m not usually fond of, but it was a bit less grainy than some other sugar-coated gummies I’ve had so I didn’t mind it as much.

I 'chews' you as my Valentine!

The Jelaxy Love gummies were kind of a random find for me here in Canada, although I’m sure they may be more common in European countries. The only site I could find this product was from the manufacturer, Elvan.

Have you tried candy from Turkey before? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter or Facebook

I hope you get something sweet today, too...
Happy Valentine's Day!
Wanna be my sweet-heart?

  1. Those hearts on the packaging look kind of freaky! The actual sweets look very cute though, I like the half and half colours.
