I haven’t been one to jump on the healthy snacks bandwagon. I prefer to keep my meals healthy and keep my junk food junky (in moderation of course). I discovered these Cheese Pops one evening hanging out at my parent’s house (yea, I hang out with my parents.. ) and gave them a try considering they were the only snack already open and I would have felt like a rude guest opening another bag of chips.
I had tried Neal Brothers Tortilla chips and salsa before and had quite enjoyed them so I figured the quality of these pops would be pretty good. They are organic if that’s what you’re into and are also gluten free. They are lighter and fluffier in texture and come in a wider “pop” shape compared to a Cheeto however Neal Brothers also makes a Cheeto-like cheese puff that would likely be a better comparison.
The seasoning which I assumed to be white cheddar is amazingly similar to the Smartfood seasoning. Considering I find the flavour of Smartfood addictive but usually don’t buy because I feel like I’ll eat the whole bag, these are a fantastic alternative. They have a light and fluffy texture, similar to popcorn but larger in size with slightly less fat and calories than Smartfood with the added bonus of not getting kernels stuck in your teeth and/or throat.
